On Maha Shivarathri day, we will perform Rudrabhisekam at 7:15PM. Visesha Archanas will be conducted at 15 minute intervals through out the day except during Nitya Puja timings.
Maha Shivarathri falls on the 13th (or 14th) day of Krishna Paksha (dark half) of Phalguna (February - March). Shivarathri means "the night of Shiva". This is a festival observed in honor of Lord Shiva and it is believed that on this day Lord Shiva was married to Parvati. It marks the night Lord Shiva danced the 'Tandava'.
